Audio Visual Media Services (AVMS) Directive
Negotiation of the Audio Visual Media Services (AVMS) Directive between the European Commission, the Parliament and the Council is underway. Apt, through Cepi, has co-signed a press release with other industry associations to express its support of the Council’s position, in an attempt to establish a level playing field for obligations linked to the promotion of European products. The proposed amendment provides for an innovative mechanism that would allow constant growth and praise of the European cultural diversity in the audiovisual sector.
