Gioia Avvantaggiato

Gioia Avvantaggiato is President and Executive Producer of GA&A Productions. Driven by a passion for her job, and very active in her field in Italy and abroad, she started working in 1981 in the commercial department of RAI, where he managed the international distribution and co-production departments. In 1990 she founded GA&A Productions, with the ambition to carry out her expertise of the international market and distribution and her passion for the world of documentaries. In 1999 she started producing, and from the very beginning she co-produced with European and North American partners. Animated by a passion for the world of documentary, never losing sight of the market and its evolutions, and always ready to detect new languages and to experiment, today Gaia is head of GA&A Productions, a protagonist in the production and distribution of cultural content in Italy.
Since it was founded, GA&A Productions has become one of the leading independent production and distribution companies in Italy, the only to bring together a department for documentary development and production, another responsible for distributing all kinds of programs in Italy and a third for international distribution, with a constantly updated catalogue of over 250 most recent films.
