Revised text of AVMS Directive

The Council adopted the revised text of the AVMS (Audio Visual Media Services) Directive proposed by the European Commission in May 2016, revised in the light of the consultations and negotiations added in recent years. The legislative review process is now therefore over, and the new (annexed) text has come into force on November 26 with its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union (Member countries have 21 months to transpose it to a national legislative level).
