Massimo Cristaldi worked as production manager and as line producer in many films produced by Franco Cristaldi and directed by some of the most renowned Italian and foreign directors including Federico Fellini, Giuseppe Tornatore, Franceso Rosi, Gillo Pontecorvo, Sergio Corbucci, Nanni Loy, Giuliano Montaldo, Carlo Carlei, Sergei Bondarchuk, Michael Anderson and Alexandre Arcady.
In 1993 he founded Cristaldi Pictures, building on the foundation established by his father and continuing Franco Cristaldi’s entrepreneurial approach to film-making, focusing on both quality and commercial criteria, thus merging art with industry. Among the latest productions: Salvo, written and directed by Fabio Grassadonia e Antonio Piazza. Grand Prix and Prix Révélation Semaine de la Critique – Cannes Film Festival 2013; Tiberio Mitri-Il Campione e la Miss, TV miniseries directed by Angelo Longoni, starring Luca Argentero and Martina Stella, in co-production with RaiFiction. Festival de Télévision de Monte-Carlo 2012.
For the recently founded CRISTALDI PICS he produced Sicilian Ghost Story, Fabio Grassadonia and Antonio Piazza’s second feature film, and he is developing new TV projects.
