Private Copying Compensation year 2020 and following

APA – Audiovisual Producers Association, as an entity entrusted by the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers (SIAE) pursuant to Articles 71-sexties et seq. of the Law of 22 April 1941, No. 633, starts the distribution of compensation for private copying, accrued by audiovisual works of the television sector in the years 2020 and 2021.

The distribution of the compensation will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the “Regulation for the distribution of private video copying compensation,” approved by the Assembly of APA by resolution of 21 June 2022.

In the same section, the list of audiovisual works that, as of now, are eligible for allocation for the relevant years is also available.
The list is not exhaustive and the Association reserves to admit additional audiovisual works to the distribution, also upon documented request of the rightholders.

The rightsholders, i.e., the original producers and their successors in title, may request the payment of the accrued compensation, including through collective management organizations or independent management entities, by submitting a specific application to the APA in accordance with the provisions of Article 2.3 of the ” Regulation for the distribution of private video copying compensation.”
